"Duel: Hamilton vs. Burr" (8 p.m., History Channel) recalls the fight between two powerful men that had it all: sex, politics, treason and guns.
Sometimes the new episodes of "Biography" (8 p.m., A & amp;E) are surprising, in that you would have thought the person must have been profiled already. Jack Nicholson's breakthrough is ancient history in terms of pop culture -- yes, "Easy Rider" came out in 1969 -- but tonight he finally joins the ranks of "Biography" subjects.
On "Nick News" (8:30 p.m., Nickelodeon), Linda Ellerbee leads kids from the United States on a trip down the Amazon. They meet people who live there, learn about the plants and animals of the region and ponder the threatened rain-forest environment.
With the presidential race heating up, it may be a good time to revisit "Primary Colors" (9 p.m., Bravo), the movie that brings to mind a certain candidate from a few years back. And if you haven't seen it before, you may be surprised at just how well John Travolta turns into a politician who acts a lot like Bill Clinton.
