Driver of minivan facing drug charges
AUSTINTOWN -- A New Middletown man accused of driving a minivan containing drug paraphernalia was to be arraigned today in Mahoning County Court in Austintown.
Jacob Andrews, 25, of Struthers Road, is charged by police with driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug-abuse instruments.
Police said they found a minivan that had been abandoned after a one-car crash about 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of North Four Mile Run Road. Details about the crash were not immediately available.
Officers said they could see syringes and pill bottles inside the minivan, and they later searched it and also found kitchen cleaning pads commonly used for drug abuse.
