Injured cyclist discovered off Pa. Route 18

TRANSFER, Pa. -- Brad Rowe, 30, of North Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, remained in critical condition today in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, after lying injured and undiscovered for several hours after a motorcycle accident on Pa. Route 18.
Pymatuning Township Police said Rowe was missing about 16 hours before friends and family found the crash site.
Rowe was with friends in Greenville around 7:30 p.m. Sunday and left alone, headed south on Route 18. He apparently failed to make a curve to the left about a mile and a half south of Greenville, and his motorcycle left the roadway, striking and breaking a post on a road sign and running about 40 feet down a small ravine into thick brush, police said.
Friends and family became worried when Rowe didn't show up for work Monday and began searching for him.
They retraced his route looking for evidence of an accident and noticed the damaged road sign shortly before noon Monday, prompting them to search the ravine. They found Rowe in a semiconscious state, police said.
He was flown by helicopter from the scene to St. Elizabeth's.
