Tullys to celebrate anniversary with trip to Hawaii



XNEWTON FALLS -- Chaplain and Mrs. Walton J. Tully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 20 and will also observe the occasion on a trip to Hawaii in September.
The former Marjorie J. Sellick and Mr. Tully were married Aug. 20, 1954, at Glenside Methodist Church in Glenside, Pa. Their children and their spouses are the Rev. Bruce and Lisa Tully of Orrville, Sheryl and Jerry Krocek of Cleveland, and Linda Tully, also of Cleveland. Five grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Tully is a retired pastor of the United Methodist denomination and serves as a police chaplain with the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department and the Newton Falls Police Department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and is chaplain of the Korean War Veterans Association, Chapter 137 of the Mahoning Valley, and the 1st Field Artillery Observation Battalion Association. He has served as regional director for the International Conference of Police Chaplains since 1988.
His wife is a graduate of Ursinus College and a homemaker.
