Lisbon sets Hall of Fame induction ceremony



LISBON -- Sadie VanFossan, Morelli Vitalune, Tom Gilmer, Carl Steitz, Dave McPherson and Ted Hart will be enshrined into the Lisbon High School Hall of Fame during a ceremony at War Memorial Stadium on Sept. 18.
VanFossan, former principal at David Anderson High, will be recognized as a contributor.
Vitalune, a 1936 graduate, was an all-league and all-county football player for the Blue Devils as a lineman.
Gilmer, 1948 graduate, won all-county, all-league and was honorable mention All-Ohio as a tackle.
Steitz, 1951 graduate, was all-county and all-league as a running back and he also won varsity letters in basketball.
McPherson, 1964 graduate, won honors and letters in football and basketball as an all-around performer and excellent defensive player at several positions.
Hart, 1978 graduate, won all league, all-county, all NE-Ohio and honorable mention All-Ohio.
