LAUREL
Administrators: Dr. Sandra Hennon, superintendent, and Leonard Rich, assistant to the superintendent.
Curriculum: Adding the Lawrence County Adopt-A-School program for all ninth-graders.
Renovations: New carpeting in parts of the high school, new roof on the junior/senior high school; updated roads around school complex and refurbished the pond used as an outdoor environmental learning lab.
MOHAWK
Administrator: Kathleen Kwolek, assistant superintendent.
Renovations: Added two modular classrooms at the junior/senior high school; sealed and re-coated driveways and winterized the windows. Poured new concrete sidewalks at the elementary school.
NESHANNOCK
Renovations: Renovating the high school auditorium, kitchen and cafeteria. Adding stadium lighting to the stadium and 10 new classrooms, storage and library at elementary school. Moving the administrative offices to area between elementary and high school, and will make the current administrative offices a multipurpose room.
NEW CASTLE
Curriculum: Adding pre-kindergarten program for 4-year-olds. Introducing the "Success for All" reading program for fourth- and fifth-graders.
Renovations: Continuing the $30 million high school project. The arts wing is now under construction.
SHENANGO
Renovations: New bleachers at Pop Johnson Stadium.
UNION
Curriculum: Adding a pre-kindergarten program for 4-year-olds.
WILMINGTON
Curriculum: Adding another half-day kindergarten class.
Renovations: Renovations of district athletic fields.
