Guild will sponsor house tour

BOARDMAN -- The Youngstown Symphony Guild will sponsor an "Autumn in the Glen" house tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18 at Forest Hills Estates, a historic district on the National Register, to benefit the orchestra's library system.
Funds generated will be used to replace worn-out manuscripts and to purchase new music scores that provide musicians with music to be performed during the Masterworks and Pops Series concerts.
Eight homes will be open for the event, and a poolside lunch also will be available at one of them. Cost is $10 for the tour, and lunch tickets are an additional $5.
Mary Rossi is honorary chairman of the event, and co-chairmen are Susan Berny and Marcelle Svenson. On the committee are Millie Campean, Irene Costakis, Liz McGarry, Sylvia Pantalone, Phyllis Wilkie, Mary Kay Zockle and Rosemary Zockle.
