Diamonds to be feted at dinner for 50th jubilee

XGIRARD -- Mr. and Mrs. George Diamond, 703 Trumbull Ave., will be guests of honor during a dinner Aug. 28 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson for the observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The honorees' children will host the event by invitation. The couple's children and their spouses are Caroline and Joseph Pavlich of New Waterford, William and Diane Diamond of Warren, Kathy and Michael Gunter of Boardman, and Michael and Rose Diamond of Niles. The family includes 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The former Genevieve Skura and Mr. Diamond exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony Aug. 1, 1954, at Madonna Roman Catholic School in Fort Lee, N.J.
Mr. and Mrs. Diamond are members of St. Rose Church.
Mrs. Diamond is a homemaker.
Retiring in 1990, Mr. Diamond was a superintendent's clerk at LTV Steel Corp. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-56 and is a member of American Legion Post 235.
