Bortmas 50th is marked at dinner party

XWASHINGTONVILLE -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Bortmas, 825 W. High St., were honored July 24 at a dinner party in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary. The observance was held at the home of the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and John Medvec of Canfield, who hosted along with the couple's son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Denise Bortmas of Kensington.
Another son, Randall Bortmas, is deceased. Four grandchildren and one great-grandchild complete their family.
Mr. Bortmas and the former Vera Snay were married July 24, 1954, in Hanoverton. He worked for Ward Baking Co. in Youngstown for 21 years and for Youngstown Steel Door Co. for 10 years. He retired in 1986 from Roshel Industries in East Palestine.
His wife is employed in the production department of WM Inc.
The couple are members of First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana.
