GIRARD
Aug. 16
Vandalism: A man alleged his son broke a window with a baseball bat at the father's home in the 200 block of Louis Circle.
Theft by deception: A Georgetown, Texas, man reported buying a minimotorcycle from a Girard man over the Internet and that, after sending a check to pay for it, he never received the item.
Aug. 17
Criminal damage: A woman noticed someone had used a key to damage her vehicle's paint at her residence in the 700 block of Lawrence Avenue.
Theft: A Youngstown man discovered a $600 table, two $1,000 brakes and a stepladder stolen from property he owns in the 100 block of East Liberty Street.

Aug. 12
Arrest: Police arrested a Hubbard man in Boardman on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with failure to appear in court on one count of theft.
Theft: A man noticed several lawn ornaments had been removed from his yard in the 200 block of Christian Avenue.
Criminal damage: A man in the 500 block of Dorchester Drive found that a flag had been broken off his mailbox.

Criminal mischief: A man in the 700 block of Taylor Street called police after discovering someone had cut two of four spark-plug wires a van.
Theft: A man reported a New York Yankees flag stolen from his residence in the 20 block of Rebecca Avenue.
Aug. 15
Property damage: A boy in the 100 block of West Liberty Street alleged his brother deliberately damaged the boy's bicycle.
Criminal damage: A Liberty man left Steven's Optical, 104 N. Main St., and discovered his vehicle's rear end had been damaged.
Property damage: A man in the 600 block of Jerry Drive reported someone drove by his home and tossed several eggs, and that one struck his son's car.

Theft: A man in the 1000 block of Saul Drive reported loaning a friend a 9 mm firearm, but that the friend failed to return it.
Aug. 17
Burglary: Nothing appeared to be missing or disturbed after a woman returned to her residence in the 300 block of South Main Street and found that a door had been forced open and damaged.
Theft: A woman in the 800 block of Jerry Drive told police that some members of a construction company working next door to her residence used some of her water without permission.
Arrest: Police arrested a man at his Bentley Avenue residence on a warrant from Hubbard charging him with failure to file his income taxes.
