BALLOT ISSUES|Trumbull County
Questions, issues and options for the Nov. 2 general election ballot had to be filed with county election boards Thursday. The list is unofficial until certified by the boards.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Braceville: A 1-mill replacement levy for a continuing period to raise $47,854 annually to provide and maintain police protection.
Bristol schools: A 5.5-mill, five-year additional levy for emergency requirements of the district to raise $400,000.
Brookfield schools: A 4-mill additional levy for a continuing period for current expenses to raise $531,756 annually.
Brookfield: The question of whether a proposed plan of zoning in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the regulation of building size and their use shall be approved or rejected.
Brookfield: A 2-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $261,414 to provide and maintain police protection.
Cardinal schools (Geauga County and part of Mesopotamia Township): A 5.95-mill, five year additional levy to raise $1,606,100 annually for current expenses.
Girard: A 3-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $388,357 annually to provide money to staff and operate the city fire department.
Girard: A 3-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $388,357 annually to staff and operate the city police department.
Girard schools: A 6.5-mill, additional levy for a continuing period to raise $941,243 annually for current expenses. The resolution to place this issue on the ballot is likely to be rescinded if the board of elections certifies Aug. 3 special election votes that resulted in voter approval of the tax.
Gustavus: A 3-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $34,278 to provide ambulance, emergency medical service or both.
Howland schools: A 4.3-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $2.5 million annually to avoid an operating deficit of school district.
Hubbard City: A 0.5-percent additional income tax to raise about $500,000 annually to build and equip a police facility and maintain and operate the police, recreation and street departments and other capital improvements, effective Jan. 1, 2005.
LaBrae schools: A 3-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $240,467 annually to renovate and equip school buildings for school purposes and improving sites.
Lakeview schools: A 4.5-mill, five-year additional levy for emergency requirements of the school district to raise $1,145,245 annually.
Lakeview schools: A 3.4-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $890,000 annually for emergency requirements of the school district.
Liberty: A 3-mill replacement and decrease levy for a continuing period, reduced by 0.1 mills to raise $654,217 annually for fire protection.
Liberty schools: A 7.9-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $1,772,638 for emergency requirements for the school district.
McDonald Village: A 1.5-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $31,478 annually for current operating expenses.
Mecca: A 0.75-mill, four-year renewal levy to raise $12,327 for current operating expenses.
Newton Falls: An ordinance for proposed charter amendments.
Newton Falls schools: A 5.2-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $602,261 annually for current expenses of the school district.
Newton Falls Joint Fire District: A 1-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $108,315 annually to provide and maintain fire protection.
Newton Township: A 2.75 mill replacement and increase levy for a continuing period to raise $108,315 annually to provide and maintain police equipment and pay salaries of police personnel.
Orangeville: A 4-mill replacement levy for a continuing period to raise $9,308 annually to provide and maintain fire equipment and buildings.
Southington: A 1.5-mill additional levy for a continuing period to raise $82,544 annually for current expenses.
Southington schools: A 3.7-mill, three-year renewal levy to raise $200,133 annually for emergency requirements of the school district.
Trumbull Career and Technical Center: A 2.4-mill, 10-year renewal levy to raise $5.9 million annually for current expenses.
Trumbull County Lifelines: A 1-mill, 10-year replacement levy to raise $3.4 million annually for operating.
Warren Township: A 1.5-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $162,143 annually to provide and maintain police protection.
Warren Township: A 1-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $90,886 annually for construction and repair of streets, roads and bridges.
Weathersfield schools: A 5.5-mill, five-year additional levy to raise $538,168 for emergency requirements.
West Farmington Village: A 6.6-mill, five-year renewal levy to raise $25,612 annually for current operating expenses.
Yankee Lake: A 2.5-mill additional levy for a continuing period to raise $5,580 annually to provide and maintain fire equipment and buildings and pay firefighters through a contract with Brookfield.
