Authorized the board of control to enter into a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation for repaving these streets: Grace Street from Belmont to Fifth Avenue; westbound service road from Elm Street to Andrews Avenue; eastbound service road from Fifth Avenue to Andrews Avenue; Hayman Street from Covington Street to Fifth Avenue; and Madison Avenue from Covington Street to Fifth Avenue. The city's portion of the estimated $280,000 cost is $56,000.
Authorized the board of control to waive the water, sewer, building permit and other fees for three homes being built in the Beachwood Estates neighborhood.
Authorized the board of control to enter into a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation for repaving U.S. Route 62 in the city. The work will include repaving sections of Canfield Road, Glenwood Avenue and Market Street from Arden Boulevard to Williamson Avenue, and Arden Boulevard from Canfield Road south to the city line. The city is to pay 20 percent of the cost, which isn't yet determined, and the city must repair or install handicap accessible curbs at intersections.
Expressed council's intent to provide $50,000 in city federal funds to the Walton Avenue bridge project, which is to service an industrial area called the Mahoning River Corridor of Opportunity which includes the city, Struthers and Campbell.
