Judge orders boat dealerto repay bank $4.9 million
YOUNGSTOWN -- A Trumbull County Common Pleas Court judge has ordered National Marine, a high-performance boat dealer at 1453 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, to repay Home Savings and Loan about $4.9 million, which includes principal on a promissory note, interest and late charges.
Judge Andrew D. Logan's judgment entry ordering payment also includes Bill J. Hionas, James Hionas and Extreme Auto & amp; Marine, all listed under the same Youngstown-Kingsville Road address.
The promissory note was signed Oct. 24, 2003, according to the judge's order.
A woman answering the phone at National Marine said neither Bill nor James Hionas nor the business would comment. Court documents did not specify the Hionases' connection to the business. Efforts to reach attorneys representing Home Savings and a bank spokeswoman for comment were unsuccessful.
Steve Bowser, interim director for the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport, said the boat dealership leased space in the airport complex for about 17 months, moving to its present location next to the airport in May.
He said the business is paid up on its bills from the airport and has no current contract with the airport.
