XGIRARD -- Stephanie Nicole Burnich, 2442 Frostwood Drive, Austintown, became the bride of Stanley R. Watson Jr., 6911 Kirk Road, Austintown, during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. July 17 at Girard First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Douglas Meek officiated.
Parents of the newlyweds are Stephen and Loretta Burnich of the Frostwood Drive address and Stan and Marilyn Watson of the Kirk Road address.
After receiving guests during a reception at the Maronite Center in Youngstown, the couple left for a honeymoon to Aruba. They live in Salem.
Mrs. Watson graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She is an English teacher for Austintown Local Schools.
Mr. Watson earned a bachelor's degree in education at Mount Union College. He is a health and wellness teacher and assistant football coach at Mount Union.
The bride wore an A-line gown fashioned with a beaded bodice.
Honor attendants were Kim Camacci and Lisa Demetruk. Bridesmaids were Michele Chicone, Kristilyn Copploe and Erica Hamma. Junior bridesmaid was Brittany Boak, the bride's cousin. They wore Victorian lilac dresses.
Ross Watson was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Steve Burnich, the bride's brother, and Jeff Vanek, Brian Merrill and Matt Campbell. Ring bearer was Chad Boak, the bride's cousin. Ushers were John Burnich, her cousin, and Michael Madsen, the groom's cousin.
