PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Jose Castillo drove in a career-high three runs to back a wild Oliver Perez, and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Colorado Rockies, 6-1 Saturday night.
Castillo and Craig Wilson homered for the Pirates, who had lost two straight after winning four in a row. Pittsburgh is 16-6 when hitting two or more home runs.
Castillo, a rookie second baseman, was 3-for-4 with two singles.
Perez (8-6) matched his career high with seven walks, but allowed only one run and two hits in six innings, striking out six. Salomon Torres and Mike Gonzalez combined for three-hit relief.
Vinny Castilla homered for the second straight game for the Rockies, 4-2 on their seven-game road trip. Jamey Wright (1-1), making his fifth start since he signed with Colorado on July 22, allowed six runs, eight hits and four walks in 4 1-3 innings.
Castilla's 25th homer put Colorado ahead in the second, but Castillo hit an RBI single in the bottom half and Pittsburgh went ahead on Wilson's run-scoring groundout.
Castillo homered in the fourth and Wilson in the fifth, making it 4-1. Wilson's homer was his team-leading 21st.
Castillo added an RBI single later in the inning, and Jack Wilson walked against Allan Simpson later in the inning, forcing in a run.

Rockies: 2B Clint Barnes was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs and was in the starting lineup Saturday. Barnes was batting .322 with 14 HR and 45 RBI at Colorado Springs. Regular 2B Adam Miles is day to day with a bruised right hand. He was hit by a line drive in batting practice before Fridays' game. ... RHP Adam Bernero was optioned to Colorado Springs to get more work. He could return in September, manager Clint Hurdle said.
Pirates: Juan Jose Mesa, son of closer Jose Mesa, worked out for the Pirates on Saturday. The younger Mesa, a 19-year-old outfielder, hit four balls in the left-field seats. He might play at Miami-Dade Community College next season. ... OF Jason Bay's younger sister, Lauren, is a pitcher for the Canadian Olympic softball team, competing in Athens, Greece. ... Saturday's game was the Pirates' eighth this season accompanied by a postgame fireworks show. Average attendance for the first seven was 27,043, about 6,000 above the season average.
