MEDICAL TRAINING 12 area nurses near goal to be nurse anesthetists
Graduates must pass the national certification examination.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Twelve nurses will graduate Sept. 3 from the St. Elizabeth Health Center's School for Nurse Anesthetists.
The graduates previously completed classwork at Youngstown State University which, along with the clinical training at the hospital, to earn a master of science degree in nursing.
To practice anesthesia in Ohio, graduates must pass the national certification examination to become Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and then get a certificate of authority to practice as an advanced-practice nurse in Ohio.
