Cruise planned for Luptaks on 50th anniversary



XNEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A trip to Hawaii in the fall will culminate the celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. David Luptak, 210 E. Garfield Ave.
Planned as part of the celebration was a dinner party held in their honor June 26 at Gallo's Italian Villa.
Arrangements for events were made by their children, Denise Campbell of Little Rock, Ark.; David Luptak and Steve Luptak, both of Sewickley, Pa.; and Shelley Hudock of New Wilmington, Pa. Nine grandchildren complete the family.
The former Edith Summers and Mr. Luptak were married June 26, 1954, at First Baptist Church in Campbell, where they are members and have taught Sunday school for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Luptak, a homemaker, served as church secretary, financial secretary and deaconess. She was employed at Campbell Sporting Goods and Atlas Stamp Co., and has served as secretary for the National Slovak Baptist Conference.
Mr. Luptak was a church deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He was a manager of tubular sales with Thypin Steel in New York, vice president and general manager of Union Steel in New Jersey, manager of sales and service with Trent Tube in Wisconsin, and sales manager for Youngstown Welding. He retired in 2001 as sales consultant with Ryerson Steel in Chicago.
