Humphrey Bogart is today's star in TCM's monthlong festival, "Summer Under the Stars." All-time favorites include "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" (9:15 a.m.), "The Maltese Falcon" (2:30 p.m.) and "Casablanca" (8 p.m.).
One thing we like about such movies as "Snakehead Terror" (6 p.m., Sci-Fi Channel) is that the nature of the threat is usually pretty clear. In this case, giant mutant fish climb out of the water and go after unlucky folks.
Unpleasant middle-aged guy (Bruce Willis) encounters kid (Spencer Breslin) who turns out to be his almost-8-year-old self in "Disney's The Kid" (8 p.m., ABC). Doubtless there are lessons to be learned that go beyond the problem of getting the boy back to his right place in time.
NBC is offering a bewildering array of coverage spread across various networks, but casual viewers can be sure of getting taped coverage of popular events during prime time. "Olympics, Night 2" (8 p.m., NBC) lineup includes cycling, swimming, diving and gymnastics.
Suddenly divorced and feeling low, a woman (Diane Lane) starts to change her life by impulsively buying a decrepit villa she discovers while touring Italy. "Under the Tuscan Sun" (9 p.m., Starz), a 2003 movie, is based on a memoir by Frances Mayes and also stars Sandra Oh.
