YWCA seeks nominations for awards

YOUNGSTOWN -- Nominations are being accepted for the Youngstown YWCA Women of the Year Awards. The awards recognize the accomplishments of women in the Mahoning Valley. Those who receive the distinction are role models and mentors who have contributed to helping women achieve their goals.
Selections are based on leadership through service to the community or career, positive impact on the community and role as a mentor to other women. Candidates must either reside or work in the Mahoning Valley and must be nominated by an organization, group or club. Nominations must be postmarked by Aug. 20. They will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges that will choose the honorees.
The deadline for sponsorship of the awards is Aug. 31.
