TRUMBULL COUNTY Newton Twp. wreck kills 1, injures others

NEWTON FALLS -- State police said a London, Ohio, man was killed and several other people were injured in a three-vehicle collision at Pritchard-Ohltown Road and state Route 534 in Newton Township.
John Snodgrass, 31, was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, shortly after the 7:45 p.m. Friday crash. A passenger in his car, Candy Alfrey, 26, also of London, was admitted to St. Elizabeth's and was in stable condition Saturday.
Police said a 17-year-old Mahoning County boy, whom they declined to identify because of the possibility of pending charges, was westbound on Pritchard-Ohltown Road and failed to stop at a stop sign at the Route 534 intersection.
His car collided with a military bus driven by Shirley King, 38, of Cleveland, which was transporting members of the 372nd Maintenance Co. of the U.S. Army Reserves on their annual reserve training mission.
The impact caused the bus, which was southbound on Route 534, to strike the northbound car driven by Snodgrass, police said.
The 17-year-old driver of the first car was treated at Northside Medical Center while the passengers on the bus were all treated at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Police were unable to say how many people were on the bus.
