Flatingers feted on anniversary at dinner party

XSALEM -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Flatinger, 12060 Virginia Ave., Salem, was celebrated July 16 during a dinner party held at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.
The event was hosted by two of their children, Linda Baird of Greenford and Dr. Renata Flatinger of Tarzana, Calif.
The Flatingers are also the parents of Janet Flatinger of Granite Bay, Calif., and Martin Flatinger of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., and they have seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Flatinger and the former Irmgard Gnosa were married Dec. 11, 1954, at the Lutheran Church in Greenford. They are members of the Saxon Club, Moose Club and the American Legion.
Mr. Flatinger served with the U.S. Air Force and was a boilermaker with Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. of Youngstown prior to retiring in 1976. His wife is a homemaker.
