Board of control
The city's board of control approved these items today:
A development agreement with Brilex Industries. The company will receive a 10-year, 75-percent abatement on real and personal property taxes. The company is investing about $1.85 million into an addition and new equipment at its Crescent Street plant. The expansion will create 10 jobs over the next three years. Brilex makes equipment for the steel and other metals industries.
Payment of $5,653 to L.E.C. Inc. of Youngstown for emergency repair of a sinkhole on Canfield Road.
Payment of $3,493 to Marucci & amp; Gaffney Excavating, Youngstown, for emergency repair of a catch basin at Kenmore Avenue and Market Street.
Payment of $2,732 to Marucci & amp; Gaffney Excavating for emergency repair of a catch basin at Dean and Woodcrest avenues.
Payment of $9,027 to Marucci & amp; Gaffney Excavating for emergency repair of two catch basins at Market Street and Interstate 680 and at Market and Hughes streets.
Payment of $11,479 to K.T. Lyden Construction, of Youngstown, for emergency repair of a catch basin and fuel tank storage pad at the city sewer plant.
