XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, string beans, applesauce, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

XThe United Methodist Women of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., Youngstown, will have an ice cream social from 5 to 7 p.m. on the church lawn. In case of inclement weather, it will be held in the fellowship hall. Tickets are $4 and include a sloppy joe, ice cream, cake, chips and drink, or each item may be purchased separately.

XSacred Heart of Jesus, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown, will hold a Swiss steak or chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall. Meals will feature Swiss steak or baked chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. Takeouts also will be available. XPost and auxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with salad, bread, and coffee or tea from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 12. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Carryout dinners are $5.25.
