Application process under way for program



LORDSTOWN -- Arts/EXCEL, Trumbull County Educational Service Center's creative and performing arts program, is accepting applications for the 2004-05 school year.
The program is open to new pupils entering the fifth through eighth grades. Arts/EXCEL is a cooperative program among 20 Trumbull County Schools and the Trumbull County Educational Service Center that provides pupils in grades five through 10 with an opportunity to develop their academic and artistic talents in art, dance, drama and vocal and instrumental music.
Pupils spend 21 Fridays during the school year interacting with instructors who are professional visual artists, dancers, dramatists, vocalists and instrumentalists. The program takes place at the Lordstown Middle School.
