The city's board of control approved these contracts and spending items Thursday:
Ended a contract with Tri-State Laboratories as of June 1 for forensic laboratory services for the police department. The police department now sends drug and forensic evidence to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification and no longer needs Tri-State, the police department said.
A $3,107 payment to A.P. O'Horo, Liberty, for emergency repairs to the McGuffey Bridge water main.
A $40,066 contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation to relocate a city waterline on state Route 46 in Austintown.
A $76,628 contract with Thomas Fok & amp; Associates, Youngstown, to monitor the 2004 street repaving project.
A $5,200 contract with Marucci & amp; Gaffney, Youngstown, for emergency cleaning of a water course at Steel Street and Salt Springs Road.
A $12,102 payment to K.T. Lyden Construction, Youngstown, for the repair of a storm sewer on Christine Lane.
A $14,951 payment to L.E.C. Inc., Youngstown, to repair or enlarge sanitary sewer manholes at Bridge Street Avenue.
A $5,666 performance bond for Gene Barbour of MBE Contracting, Youngstown, for work on the Williamson School project.
