AUSTINTOWN Man charged with raping woman in a car at a bar

AUSTINTOWN -- Martin Eberth IV, 25, of Herbert Road, Canfield, is charged with raping an intoxicated woman in a car outside a bar.
Eberth was arrested by the U.S. Marshals task force at 5 p.m. Thursday at home on a warrant. He is in the Mahoning County jail pending arraignment in Mahoning County Court, Austintown.
Police said the rape took place around 1 a.m. April 17 outside Styx Bar, 3680 S. Meridian Road. Witnesses said a man carried an intoxicated 31-year-old Austintown woman out of the bar.
The victim's friends told police they had called her cell phone to say they were on their way to pick her up, and a strange man answered.
When the friends got to the bar, they saw a man and a woman in their friend's car. The man had his pants pulled down, police said.
Police said Eberth told the friends that the woman had fallen asleep. He then pulled up his pants and left, they said.
Police said the woman was naked and unconscious when they arrived.
The woman said she didn't recall being raped.
