Grant Center offers orientation program

YOUNGSTOWN -- Reservations are being taken for a Grant Center orientation program scheduled for 6:30 p.m. May 6 at the main library meeting room, 305 Wick Ave.
"Grantseeking Basics: An Orientation to the Funding Research Process" is a basic orientation to the library's Grant Center collection. Grant writing is not included.
This program is intended for representatives of nonprofit organizations new to the process and who want to know more about the library's resources or for previous participants who would like a refresher.
This program is free and open to representatives from nonprofit organizations seeking information on funding sources and fund raising. Grant information applies to nonprofit organization only. No information is available for individuals seeking funds.
Collection library
The main library is a cooperating collection library for the Foundation Center of New York City.
Library materials in the Grant Center include books such as Foundation Fundamentals, Foundation Center's Guide to Proposal Writing, Foundation Giving, and Getting Funded; indexes such as the Foundation Grants Index; periodicals such as the Chronicle of Philanthropy and Foundation News Nonprofit Times; and directories such as the Annual Register of Grant Support and Foundation Directory. The center also contains files on local foundations and annual reports.
Reservations can be placed by calling the main library, (330) 744-8636, and pressing "2" at the phone prompt for "Reference Information."
