Trumbull Arts Academy deadline extended

Pupils attend the Arts Academy instead of their home school five days a week.
WARREN -- Trumbull County Educational Service Center is extending its deadline for applications for the Trumbull Arts Academy to Saturday.
The academy is dedicated to teaching artistic pupils using the performing arts as a primary learning tool. Pupils attend the arts academy, instead of their home school, five days each week and use the arts as a tool to learn mathematics, science, English and history.
A certified/licensed classroom teacher integrates the arts into the core curriculum. Professional visiting artists assist in teaching and integrating art, drama, dance, vocal and instrumental music.
To apply, pupils must be entering the fifth or sixth grade and be enrolled in one of these school districts: Bloomfield-Mespo, Bristol, Champion, Howland, Hubbard, Joseph Badger, LaBrae, Liberty, Lordstown, McDonald, Maplewood, Mathews, Newton Falls, Niles, Southington or Warren.
Interested pupils who are entering the seventh grade should contact Debra Quinn, director of curriculum and instruction, at (330) 675-2800 for information regarding future programs.
