Steelers add cornerback, tackle on next two picks

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Steelers waited until the second round to get a cornerback, trading up six places with the Indianapolis Colts to take Ricardo Colclough, a Little All-American at Division II Tusculum who can return kicks and play on special teams. The Steelers dealt their fourth-round pick to move up.
They also got a tackle, too, taking Florida's massive, 360-pound Max Starks on the third round. Starks, who played nearly every offensive line position in college except center, is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals lineman and Warren Harding High graduate Ross Browner.
Colclough moved up many teams' draft boards after doing well at the Senior Bowl and the scouting combine. He was recruited by Florida State and Georgia out of high school, but went to a junior college to improve his grades before making a school-record 15 interceptions at Tusculum in two seasons.
"The Senior Bowl ended speculation whether I can play at the next level," Colclough said.
Before the draft, Colclough was seen as a late first-round or an early second-round choice.
"He was attractive enough to us to make the commitment [to trade up]," defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau said.
