NIKARA RATLIFFCARSON BROWN
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Nikara J. Ratliff and Carson S. Brown, both of Newport News, Va., was solemnized during a ceremony April 16 at Rising Star Baptist Church.
The bride is a daughter of Emmette Ratliff of Roanoke, Va., and the late Gail Ratliff. Parents of the groom, who is formerly of Youngstown, are Mr. and Mrs. Mark K. Brown of Youngstown.
The couple accepted congratulations during a reception in the church fellowship hall.
Honor attendant was Casey C. Brown of Youngstown, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Jordan L. and Jasmine L. Webster, both of Virginia, cousins of the groom. Flower girl was Khaylah C. Brown of Youngstown, the groom's niece.
Performing the duties of best man was Corey S. Brown of Youngstown, the groom's brother. Groomsmen were Christian S. Brown, also the groom's brother, and Timothy A. Frost, both of Youngstown. Ring bearer was Kayne C. Brown of Youngstown, the groom's nephew.
Mrs. Brown is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Brown works at Value City Furniture, Newport News.
The couple honeymooned in Cairo, Egypt, and are living in Newport News.
