MLS ROUNDUP | Saturday's games

Fire 1, United 0
WASHINGTON -- Damani Ralph scored Chicago's first goal of the season on Freddy Adu bobblehead doll day to lift the Fire to a 1-0 win over D.C. United. Chicago opened the season with 327 scoreless minutes, coming within 30 minutes of matching the MLS record held by the 1999 Kansas City Wizards. The 14-year-old Adu didn't enter the game until the 72nd minute, the least he has played in any of United's four games this season.
Burn 1, Wizards 0
DALLAS -- Toni Nhleko scored in the 17th minute and Scott Garlick got his second consecutive shutout for the Burn. Garlick finished with six saves as Dallas (2-0-1) extended its scoreless streak to more than 234 minutes and handed Kansas City (1-1-1) its first loss of the season. Nhleko scored an unassisted goal on the Burn counterattack when he dribbled past the Wizards' defense, split two defenders then fired a shot into the center of the net from about 10 yards away. It was Nhleko's first goal of the season, and the first scored against Kansas City, ending goalie Tony Meola's scoreless streak at 197 minutes.
Rapids 1, Earthquakes 0
DENVER -- Chris Henderson scored a first-half goal and goalkeeper Joe Cannon made it stand up against his former teammates. Henderson beat San Jose goalkeeper Pat Onstad in the 26th minute. John Spencer knocked the ball down with his chest, Kyle Beckerman ran it down and then found Henderson alone 20 yards behind the defense. Cannon wasn't seriously challenged in posting his 27th career shutout for Colorado (1-0-2).
