Kournikova countersues parents over $5M home

MIAMI -- After her parents sued her over what they say is their share of a $5 million waterfront home, Anna Kournikova has filed a countersuit in an effort to get her parents' names off the deed.
The professional tennis player filed a lawsuit in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Wednesday, about a week after Sergei and Alla Kournikova sued their daughter in the same court. The parents want money for their share of the Miami Beach home, which they contend Anna Kournikova has taken over.
All three are listed as owners of the seven-bedroom, seven-bath home, according to property records. Anna Kournikova contends in the lawsuit that she paid the entire $5 million purchase price, plus an additional $1 million for improvements.
Kournikova, 22, who has never won a tournament and is known mostly for her supermodel looks, has not played competitive tennis in more than a year due to injuries.
Messina completingalcohol rehab program
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Country singer Jo Dee Messina is in an alcohol rehabilitation program in Utah, her manager confirmed Friday.
She checked herself into a facility near Sundance on Feb. 20, the same week it was reported that her engagement to road manager Don Muzquiz had ended, said Stuart Dill of Refugee Management Inc.
Messina completed a 30-day program and will continue as an outpatient through this month, Dill said. He expects her to be back in Nashville the beginning of May.
Dill said Messina started drinking socially "and then she recognized she had a problem." It culminated with a poor performance at a New England Patriots post-Super Bowl victory party in Houston.
"As soon as I questioned her about that, she admitted she had a problem," he said. Dill said the 33-year-old singer was never out of control.
Messina, a Boston native, has hits that include "That's the Way," "Stand Beside Me" and "I'm Alright."
'7th Heaven' actorarrested on highway
SANTA ANA, Calif. -- Jeremy London, who plays an assistant pastor on the WB's "7th Heaven," was arrested after motorists reported seeing him arguing with his girlfriend on the highway, officials said Friday.
London, 31, who was taken into custody April 6 for investigation of vandalism, marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license, faces a May 6 arraignment, prosecutor Susan Schroeder said. He was released on bail after his arrest.
Officers responding to calls from motorists on Interstate 5 determined London's license had been suspended for driving under the influence, Schroeder said. Officers said they found less than an ounce of marijuana in his possession. London also was suspected of vandalizing his girlfriend's phone, she added.
London plays Chandler Hampton on the show. He has also appeared on Fox's "Party of Five."
