Clairol drops Omarosa from Herbal Essences ad

First, Youngstown native Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth became the "Apprentice" contestant that America loved to hate (or just hated to hate). Then she was fired by The Donald. Then she came back and messed things up for poor Kwame, helping prompt his dismissal. Those moves were humiliating, but now Omarosa has suffered an even greater indignity: She's been cut out of an Herbal Essences commercial.
Omarosa, best known for getting whacked in the head by a piece of plaster and taking the phrase "pot calling the kettle black" as a racial slur, filmed one of several five-second endings for Herbal Essences' newest Streaking Party TV commercial.
The backlash began immediately. "Apprentice" contestant Ereka Vetrini, engaged in a long-standing war of words with Omarosa, swore she would never again use any Clairol products. While the corporation probably wasn't concerned that Ereka's boycott would change its bottom line, "Apprentice" fans flooded Clairol with e-mails and phone calls. Almost immediately, Clairol distanced itself from Omarosa, claiming that the fate of her ad was still up in the hair.
On Thursday, it came crashing down.
"After reviewing the film of all the possible endings a decision has been made not to use the Omarosa take," declares a Clairol statement.
It's doubtful that the Clairol cut is going to slow Omarosa down. The wannabe actress still claims to be in talks for a possible part in a sitcom pilot and she'll make a cameo on NBC's "Passions" at the end of May. She's still in demand on the talk-show circuit as well, getting much love from Oprah, among others.
