North Side plans cleanup events
YOUNGSTOWN -- The North Side Citizens' Coalition for Community Development, along with Youngstown Litter Control and Recycling, Youngstown Parks and Recreation and several North Side block clubs, will sponsor the first North Side Spring Festival at several locations Sunday through May 1.
This will be the first in a series of annual cleanups in Youngstown.
Activities are:
UWick Park cleanup, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Wick Park area. Participants will clean up the park and surrounding area, and should meet at Park and Elm.
UPark Side/Selma cleanup, 6 to 8 p.m. Monday , involving the Park Side Neighbors and Selma Block Club area.
ULandscaping workshop, 6 to 8 p.m. April 28 at Park Vista gathering room. The Ohio State extension service will sponsor the educational seminar.
UFairgreen cleanup, 6 to 8 p.m. April 29, by the Fairgreen Avenue Block Club.
U Arbor Day tree planting from 6 to 8 p.m. April 30 on the Fifth Avenue boulevard median.
U Crandall Park and Creek cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon May 1.
