Besides outtakes from cooking shows and infomercials, "The Most Outrageous Moments on Live TV" (8 p.m., NBC) also offers famous faces such as Jamie Lee Curtis, George Bush and Margaret Thatcher, all of whom would probably have liked a second take ... or a third.
"TV Land Moguls" (9 p.m., TV Land) is a six-part documentary series rich in behind-the-scenes detail and intriguing footage. Hosted by Merv Griffin, the series profiles some of television's most influential movers and shakers from the 1950s through the present day. Tonight's opener focuses mainly on Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball.
Long after her August 1997 death, the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, still fascinates the viewing public. "48 Hours Investigates: Diana's Secrets" (10 p.m., CBS) has obtained the French government's confidential report on Diana's death. The 4,000-page document includes never-before-seen photos that were seized from the paparazzi at the time of the fatal car crash. Correspondents Erin Moriarty and Richard Schlesinger report.
"Love & amp; Diane" (10 p.m., PBS Channels 45 & amp; 49) puts a rivetingly personal face on the term "cycle of poverty." It's the portrait of a mother addicted to crack in the 1980s and about her daughter (then a child) and her grandson yet to be born. Can this family overcome drug abuse, poverty and a legacy of abandonment? Filmmaker Jennifer Dworkin spent a decade making this documentary.
