PREP SOFTBALL ROUNDUP Sferra perfect in shutout of Sebring
Rayen lost to Leetonia but defeated Youngstown Christian.
COLUMBIANA -- Jessica Sferra pitched a perfect game as the Crestview High softball team defeated Sebring 20-0 Monday in a Tri-County League game.
Sferra (7-2) struck out nine. It was the fourth time this season that she has pitched a shutout.
Jen Harroff hit a triple and two singles, while Kelsie Ray hit a double and single for the Rebels (8-3, 3-2).
Leetonia 3, Rayen 2
LEETONIA -- Marissa DeJane struck out 11 for the Bears (3-4) who led 3-0 after six innings.
Brittany Hines singled twice for the Tigers.
Rayen 12, Youngstown Christian 6
YOUNGSTOWN -- Natasha Clemons scattered three hits and struck out nine for the Tigers.
Brittany Hines had two hits for Rayen, including a double. Desiree Hardy and Sakinah Noble hit doubles.
Chaney 9, Wilson 1
YOUNGSTOWN -- Justine Klopta pitched a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts and was backed by Rachel Miller and Terra Koonce with a double and two RBIs apiece, to power Chaney (4-4).
Sheila Kollar added two singles and two walks for Chaney, which scored five runs in the second inning.
Poland 14, Struthers 1
POLAND -- Mallory Conger (3-0) scattered five hits, struck out eight and pitched a complete game for the Bulldogs in the Metro Athletic Conference.
Karli Thompson led the Bulldogs (10-1, 3-0) with a triple, double and single and drove in three runs. Steffi Graf hit a triple and two singles and scored three times.
Ashley Ruozzo led the Wildcats (2-7, 1-3) with two singles.
West Branch 10, Niles 4
BELOIT -- The Warriors (4-6) scored seven runs in the first inning and Niles (3-4) couldn't catch up.
Bri Benedict hit a double and two singles and Becky Rinyo added three hits for the Warriors.
Springfield 18, McDonald 4
MCDONALD -- Kristy Warren hit a double and five singles, drove in two runs, scored three times and stole three bases for the Tigers in the Inter-County league game.
Kristina Snyder pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts for the Tigers (4-3, 2-1).
Every player in the starting lineup for the Tigers had at least one hit. Amanda Belvaux hit a double and four singles, drove in two runs, scored four times and stole a base.
Lindsey Urban hit a double and single for the Blue Devils (0-4, 0-3). Tomisa Sangregorio hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

NORTH LIMA -- Kay Bruss tripled, Rhea Weimer doubled and Shannon McGee had three singles for the Bluejays (8-4, 3-1 ICL).
Jaymi Payne tripled, Kasey Knopp doubled twice, Lynn O'Connell and Jessica Spickler each had a two-base hit and Brittany Moore singled three times for the Raiders (2-2, 0-1).

CORTLAND -- Sarah Bates homered to lead the Warriors.
Kate Barnett had two singles for the Bulldogs (3-3, 2-3 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
