Automobile dealersset charity auction
BOARDMAN -- The Automobile Dealers Association of Eastern Ohio will conduct its annual charity auction May 8 at Mr. Anthony's as part of its annual President's Gala. A silent auction begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner at 8 p.m. Last year, ADAEO raised $33,000 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Northeast Ohio. It auctions a variety of donated items, including sports memorabilia, dinner and gift certificates, art and golf packages. For information, call ADAEO at (330) 759-1111.
Sprint opens storein Southern Park Mall
BOARDMAN -- Sprint has opened a new sales and service store for its wireless customers in Southern Park Mall. The store offers Sprint PCS products and accessories, repairs and other services, such as Sprint Long Distance.
Sprint also has sales and service stores at 430 Boardman-Poland Road in Boardman and 2658 Niles-Cortland Road in Howland.
Drugstore to be built
SHARON, Pa. -- Construction of a Walgreens Drug Store at East State Street and Stambaugh Avenue is to begin May 1. The store is slated to open this fall. The store is being built by Visconsi Companies, a developer based in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
Workshops to focuson workplace safety
LORDSTOWN -- The Trumbull Career and Technical Center will hold workshops on workplace safety for administrators, supervisors and employees. The workshops run from April 20 to May 20 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.
Topics will include violence, handling medical emergencies, fire safety, communication and documentation and weapons of mass destruction. Cost is between $65 and $85 per session or $280 for the entire course. To register, call (330) 824-2588.
20/30 Club plansmixer at restaurant
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning Valley Professional 20/30 Club will hold a mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at BW-3 downtown. The new organization is designed to allow young professional men and women to enhance their careers through social, charitable and educational activities.
