The Youngstown Unit of the American Baptist College will have its Second Founders Day and Students' Recognition Banquet at 6 p.m. April 27 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 707 Arlington St. Commencement will be at 6 p.m. April 29, also at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Graduates will receive a certificate in Christian training or a diploma in theology.
Blessed Art Thou Among Women eighth annual women's conference with the theme, "Proclaiming The Year of Favor," includes services at 7 p.m. May 6-7 and 11 a.m. May 9 at Ebenezer Church of God in Christ, 566 W. KiddieLand in Columbiana's Firestone Park was cleaned April 10 by 30 adults and youths from Common Ground Church Community as a community service project. The group bagged leaves and put fresh sand in the sandboxes. Common Ground Church Community is a new church sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (USA) that meets at 11 a.m. Sundays in the auditorium of South Range High School, North Lima. A new group, the Spiritual Catholic Community Group, meets for social, spiritual and service activities about twice a month. It is open to any Catholic age 19 to 45. Activities have included attending Mass and dinner, a game night, and seeing a Passion play.
