"The Mummy Returns" (8 p.m., ABC) but you knew the Mummy wouldn't stay in the British Museum for long. (It would have been another story if nobody had paid to see the first movie.) Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah and Arnold Vosloo all return to the action in this 2001 sequel.The drama of daily life among lions, cheetahs and leopards can be pretty intense. "Big Cat Diaries" (8 p.m., Animal Planet) shows examples such as a mother struggling to find food for her starving babies, and a father unwillingly separated from his family.Chris Rock plays an obscure local politician suddenly thrust into the race for president in "Head of State" (8 p.m., HBO). Also starring in this 2003 comedy that Rock directed are Bernie Mac, Dylan Baker and Lynn Whitfield. Followed at 10 p.m. by a comedy special, "Chris Rock: Never Scared."Those longing for the days when Woody Allen was really funny can find solace in "Annie Hall" (8 p.m., TCM), which won an Academy Award for best picture. Diane Keaton also won an Oscar. Any nostalgia may be enhanced by one of Allen's minor themes -- the Manhattan theaters that showed classic films in the pre-VCR era. Followed at 10 p.m. by Keaton in "Baby Boom" (1987).
