PREP SOFTBALL East Palestine edges Lisbon in 7th

EAST PALESTINE -- Jenessa Greenawalt had two hits and scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to help the East Palestine High softball team defeat Lisbon, 4-3, in a Tri-County League game Thursday.
Greenawalt scored on a sacrifice fly by Sarah Downey, who also had a single for East Palestine (3-4, 3-1).
Freshman pitcher Allison McMillen picked up her first victory.
Ashley Clapper (2-2) took the loss for Lisbon (2-2, 0-1).
Brookfield 14, Rayen 0
BOARDMAN -- Winning pitcher Jessie Shaffer (2-2) struck out 14 batters, with no walks through five innings. Shaffer also hit two triples, drove in two runs and scored three times for the Warriors (3-2).
Mary Palumbo struck out three batters in two innings of relief.
Boardman 7, Champion 4
BOARDMAN -- Behind 3-0, Boardman (7-0) scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Danielle Burin led off the inning with a triple. Melanie Lodyn hit a two-run triple and Mallory Hay also drove in two runs. Ashley DiDomenico (5-0) pitched a complete game to pick up the win. Jaclyn Corroto and Lodyn each hit a triple and single.
Emily Hayes hit a pair of singles for the Golden Flashes (3-2).
Mineral Ridge 7, Warren JFK 0
WARREN -- Kaili Gehring pitched a one-hitter and had three hits, one a double for the Rams (4-0).
Sarah Stark tripled and added two singles, while Katie Olive had a double. The Eagles are 0-4.
Lowellville 22, Yo. Christian 0
LOWELLVILLE -- Juli Peterson singled, doubled and tripled to drive in four runs for Lowellville. Carla Blinsky had a homer and three RBIs for Lowellville (2-2). Lindsay Wilson added two singles, two RBIs and seven steals. Samantha DeBlasio had a single, double and two RBIs.
Hubbard 10, Liberty 3
HUBBARD -- Amanda Taylor (3-0) tossed a one-hitter, striking out six and walking three, to lead Hubbard in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
Kelly Hudy had two hits, two runs and two RBIs for the Eagles (3-0, 3-0), who scored eight runs in the first inning. Loni Sargent added two hits.
Girard 9, Campbell 4
CAMPBELL -- Sarah Britt singled twice to pace the Indians (2-3).
Shana Steele and Deana Black each doubled for the Red Devils (0-4).
