White Sox 6, Royals 5, 10 innings
CHICAGO -- Magglio Ordonez hit a one-out home run in the 10th inning as Chicago completed a three-game sweep. Frank Thomas and Aaron Rowand also homered for the White Sox, who beat the Royals in their final at-bat for the second straight game. Ordonez's fourth homer of the year came on an 0-2 pitch from D.J. Carrasco (1-1). Damaso Marte (1-1) pitched two scoreless innings for the win. Kansas City starters have yet to win a game this year, their longest streak to start a season since 1992.
Blue Jays 11, Tigers 0
DETROIT -- Cy Young winner Roy Halladay pitched a shutout for his first win of the season and Frank Catalanotto extended his hit streak to nine games. Halladay (1-2) allowed eight hits and struck out five. Jason Johnson (1-2) took the loss, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk in four innings. Toronto put the game away with five runs in the seventh and added three runs in the ninth on a two-run homer by Kevin Cash and a RBI double by Chris Woodward.
Rangers 7, Athletics 2
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Kenny Rogers pitched seven innings, Alfonso Soriano had three hits and Texas avoided a three-game sweep. Rogers (2-0) gave up one unearned run and five hits. Rich Harden (0-1) gave up six runs and 11 hits in his first start this season for Oakland.
Orioles 12, Red Sox 7, 11 innings
BOSTON -- Miguel Tejada's first homer for Baltimore in the 11th inning started a five-run rally. Tejada entered the game with nine hits, all singles, and no RBIs in his first 30 at-bats. Jay Gibbons' RBI triple made it 9-7 and Baltimore padded the lead when runs scored on an error, a walk and a single. Boston starter Pedro Martinez allowed seven runs in five innings, including David Segui's three-run homer. Baltimore starter Sidney Ponson also struggled, allowing seven runs on eight hits in four innings.
Mariners 6, Angels 2
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Ryan Franklin gave up four hits in eight sharp innings, and Seattle turned two Anaheim errors into five runs in the sixth inning. Raul Ibanez drove in two runs for the Mariners, who snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Angels. Franklin (1-0) made just one mistake, a two-run homer by Adam Kennedy in the second. Eddie Guardado allowed a hit in the ninth.

Phillies 6, Reds 4
PHILADELPHIA -- Mike Lieberthal hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning as Philadelphia won its first game at Citizens Bank Park. Rheal Cormier (2-2) pitched a scoreless eighth for the win. Billy Wagner worked the ninth for his second save. Ryan Wagner (0-1) gave up a bloop RBI single to Pat Burrell in the eighth before Lieberthal homered.
Marlins 3, Expos 0
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico -- Carl Pavano and two pitchers combined to extend Florida's shutout streak to a team-record 30 innings. Pavano (1-0) gave up three hits in seven innings, Chad Fox worked the eighth and Armando Benitez closed the ninth for his sixth save. The World Series champions shut out the Expos in all three games of the series. Montreal was held to three hits as its scoreless string reached a club-record 33 innings.
Diamondbacks 11, Rockies 10
DENVER -- Richie Sexson and Shea Hillenbrand each homered and drove in three runs, helping Arizona end a five-game losing streak. Matt Mantei got the final four outs, striking out the side in the ninth for his second save. Mike Koplove (1-1) worked out of a bases-loaded jam in the fifth to earn the win. Jeromy Burnitz tripled, singled and drove in three runs on his 35th birthday and Todd Helton went 2-for-2 with three walks.
Mets 4, Braves 0
NEW YORK -- Al Leiter got a big boost from the bullpen in his first win of the season. Shane Spencer drove in leadoff hitter Kaz Matsui twice for the Mets, who completed their first shutout of the year. Leiter (1-0) extended his scoreless streak to 101/3 innings to start the season. Leiter held the Braves hitless through four innings. He was removed with two on in the sixth after throwing 104 pitches. Rookie Orber Moreno pitched a perfect eighth, and Braden Looper worked a perfect ninth.
Brewers 6, Astros 2
HOUSTON -- Ben Sheets breezed through five innings before leaving with a stiff lower back. Sheets (2-0) gave up four hits and two runs in his eighth straight win over Houston, but didn't come out for the sixth inning. He is listed as day to day. Dave Burba and Ben Ford each pitched two hitless innings in relief of Sheets.
Dodgers 7, Padres 5
SAN DIEGO -- Alex Cora tripled, doubled and scored two runs, and Los Angeles rallied from a three-run deficit. Mark Loretta hit the first home run for San Diego in six games at Petco Park and Phil Nevin added another homer to get the Padres off to a 2-0 start in the first inning. Hideo Nomo (2-1) settled down to pick up the victory, allowing three runs and six hits over five innings. Brian Lawrence (1-1) allowed five runs and nine hits in 51/3 innings.
