Q. Why was the wonderful actor Esai Morales written off "NYPD Blue"? He brought so much talent to that show. -- T.M.T., Dallas
A. Morales opted out of the supporting role of Lt. Tony Rodriguez to pursue other projects, including a development deal with ABC that could land him in his own series. Q. Can you tell me the name of a singer I saw on "Live With Regis and Kelly"? The CD is called "Simply Red" but I don't know the name of the artist. -- T.W.P., Colerain, N.C.
A. The band Simply Red, fronted by lead singer and songwriter Mick Hudnall, visited "Live" in January to perform "You Make Me Feel Brand New" from the group's latest CD, "Home." The song also was featured on "One Life to Live" earlier this year, with a guest appearance by Hudnall. "Home" is available in stores on the Simplyred label.
Q. What happened to the new "Tremors" series that was advertised for so long? The only ones being shown are the old replays. -- The Meadows, via e-mail
