Last week: Phil Mickelson won the Masters for his first major title, birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Ernie Els. Tiger Woods tied for 22nd, 11 strokes back.
Notes: Love also won in 1987, 1991, 1992 and 1998. ... Els and Retief Goosen are in the field along with European stars Darren Clarke, Bernhard Langer, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood. ... Kenny Knox set the tour record with 93 putts in the 1989 tournament, a mark matched last year by Mark Calcavecchia in the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic. Knox finished 10 strokes behind winner Payne Stewart. ... David Frost shot a course-record 61 in 1994, and Loren Roberts set the tournament record of 19-under 265 in 1996. ... The Shell Houston Open is next week, followed by the HP Classic of New Orleans.

Notes: Sorenstam is skipping the tournament. She won the 2002 event in Hawaii, beating Lorie Kane on the first hole of a playoff. ... Kraft Nabisco winner Grace Park tops the field along with Juli Inkster, 17-year-old Aree Song and Sophie Gustafson. ... The tour is off next week. Play will resume April 29-May 2 with the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship in Stockbridge, Ga.

Notes: The Jose Maria Olazabal-designed course also will be the site of the World Cup in November. ... The Canarias Open of Spain is next week in the Canary Islands, followed by the Italian Open at Castello di Tolcinasco in Milan.

Last event: Jimmy Walker moved within a victory of an in-season promotion to the PGA Tour, winning the Louisiana Open on March 28 for his second Nationwide Tour win of the year. The former Baylor player also won the season-opening Panama Championship.
Notes: The tour will remain in Arkansas next week for the Rheem Classic in Fort Smith. The BMW Charity Pro-Am at The Cliffs is April 29-May 2 in Greenville, S.C.
