There's no problemwith Hutton's heart
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Actress and model Lauren Hutton was airlifted Monday to a heart hospital because of chest pain that doctors determined was probably from indigestion.
Hutton, 60, underwent diagnostic tests at the Heart Hospital of New Mexico that showed her heart is strong, said Dr. Harvey White, the medical director.
The symptoms "were most likely the result of a case of indigestion," White told KOAT-TV Monday evening.
Hutton has appeared on more than two dozen Vogue magazine covers and in nearly 50 films, most notably 1980's "American Gigolo" with Richard Gere.
In a statement released by the hospital, Hutton said it's important to understand the heart risk factors for women and seek treatment immediately.
Hutton was at her home in Taos when she began experiencing chest pain and was rushed to a local hospital. She was then airlifted to Albuquerque.
Madonna and religion
NEW YORK -- Just days after upsetting some of her Irish fans because she scheduled a summer concert in the predominantly Catholic country on a Sunday comes news that Madonna refuses to ever play Friday concerts because of "her religious beliefs."
According to New York magazine, the Catholic-reared star, who has become a big proponent of a New Age version of the Jewish mystical tradition known as Kabbalah, will no longer perform on Friday nights.
"She is observing Shabbat on Friday evenings," her rep, Liz Rosenberg, told the mag.
Romijn and Stamosgo separate ways
NEW YORK -- After five years of marriage, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and John Stamos have decided to split, reports the New York Daily News.
"It's very amicable," spokesman Lewis Kay said. "There's no third party. There's no real reason except they've decided to go in separate directions."
Stamos, 40, met supermodel Romijn, 31, in 1994 at a Victoria's Secret fashion show. They had their first date two months later at Disneyland.
After marrying in 1998, they bought the amusement park's entrance sign for $30,000. One magazine reported they had actually had sex in the park, but Rebecca explained, "We ride the rides next to each other -- not on top of each other!"
She also found herself defending her taste in husbands in 2002, when Movieline teased her for marrying the guy who had played Jesse on "Full House." She subsequently refused to host one of the magazine's parties.
While Romijn's movie career took off with roles in "X-Men," "Femme Fatale" and "Rollerball," Stamos gravitated toward Broadway, starring in "Cabaret" and "Nine."
Their bicoastal careers started taking a toll.
"About a year ago we went through a difficult time, because we were apart too much," Stamos told People in December. "So we made a pact to spend more time together." He added, "We're happier than we've ever been in our marriage."
