AROUND THE HORN Monday's other games

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Angels 7, Rangers 6
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Pinch-hitter Brad Fullmer burned his former team with a three-run double that capped a five-run sixth inning for Texas. Hank Blalock was 3-for-5 with a go-ahead two-run single, and finished the four-game series with 10 hits. After Ben Webber replaced Jarrod Washburn (1-1) with two on and one out in the sixth, Michael Young reached on an infield single. Blalock then singled for a 4-3 lead, and Fullmer, who played for the World Series champions in Anaheim two years ago, later doubled to clear the bases. Carlos Almanzar (1-0) pitched a perfect sixth and Francisco Cordero allowed two runs in the ninth, but managed to get his second save.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
Reds 4, Phillies 1
PHILADELPHIA -- Paul Wilson allowed one run over 71/3 innings in the first game at Citizens Bank Park, triggering boos from a sellout crowd. D'Angelo Jimenez got the first hit, a ground-rule double down the right-field line on the fourth pitch of the game from Randy Wolf. Bobby Abreu hit the first home run, the only bright spot for a dismal Phillies' offense that has scored 16 runs in seven games. Widely considered favorites to win the NL East, the Phillies are off to a 1-6 start, losing five in a row.
Mets 10, Braves 6
NEW YORK -- Newcomers Kaz Matsui and Mike Cameron each drove in two runs, Steve Trachsel was terrific on the mound and at the plate in a New York victory. Todd Zeile added three hits as a makeshift Mets lineup roughed up former teammate Mike Hampton (0-1) in building a 10-0 lead. New York played without Cliff Floyd, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right quadriceps, and Mike Piazza, out of the lineup because of a sore right elbow following a collision at first base Sunday. Trachsel (1-1) allowed one run and four hits in six innings, and also drove in two runs.
Rockies 7, Diamondbacks 4
DENVER -- Colorado rallied for four runs in the seventh inning, capitalizing on Arizona reliever Jose Valverde's wildness. The Rockies erased a 3-0 deficit in their home opener before a sellout crowd of 48,013. The Rockies had just one hit in their winning rally. Colorado loaded the bases with a single and two walks off Mike Koplove (0-1), then Koplove walked in a run. Valverde relieved and hit a batter and threw two wild pitches -- all allowed runs to score. Vladimir Nunez (1-0) got two outs in relief to get the win. Shawn Chacon pitched the ninth for his second save in three opportunities.
Astros 10, Cardinals 5
ST. LOUIS -- Richard Hidalgo hit a three-run home run and broke an eighth-inning tie with a sacrifice fly to lead Houston. Craig Biggio had three doubles, three RBIs and scored three times for the Astros. Ricky Stone (1-0) pitched one scoreless inning to get the win. Hidalgo's homer in the first off St. Louis starter Woody Williams gave the Astros a 4-0 lead. Hidalgo's sacrifice fly in the eighth made it 6-5, and Biggio hit a three-run double later in the inning to break the game open. Mike Lincoln (2-1) allowed five runs in 11/3 innings of relief for St. Louis.
