"Dora's Super Silly Fiesta" (8 p.m., Nickelodeon) is a prime-time special that invites preschool pals to join Dora the Explorer on her journey to a party filled with hilarious games, riddles and goofy songs.
Right after an 8 p.m. episode of "Fear Factor" in which six of them duke it out, beautiful contestants from across the country will compete to be Miss USA 2004 (9 p.m., NBC). This year, the pageant will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Nancy O'Dell and Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood" host.
OK, so she was no Miss USA, but Emma Goldman was a wonder woman nonetheless. The latest installment of "American Experience" (10 p.m., PBS) paints a compelling portrait of the controversial Russian immigrant who spent much of her life speaking out in support of labor rights, women's equality, birth control and free speech.
"Peep and the Big Wide World" (8 a.m., TLC) is a new cartoon show for preschoolers about a just-hatched chick (the title character) and his friends, who explore the amazing world around them. Their scientific quests include investigating shadows, learning about gravity and following animal tracks in the snow. The goal is to help preschoolers develop such investigative skills as observing, comparing and predicting. Joan Cusack is the narrator.
