Palombaros' 50th to be observed at church reception



XYOUNGSTOWN -- St. Anthony Church will be the setting at 4 p.m. April 24 for a reception planned in honor of Mr. and Mrs. David Palombaro, 1926 Salt Springs Road, who will be celebrating 50 years of marriage.
Arrangements for the event and a family dinner to be held for the couple at Leo's Ristorante in Howland have been made by their family.
Serving as hosts will be David Palombaro Jr., Youngstown; Angela Palombaro, Alexandria, Va.; Gina and Dan Fernback, Boardman; Francine and Mick Stryffler, Sagamore Hills; Jeff Palombaro, Mineral Ridge; and Racheal and Dan Bonikar, Youngstown. There are also nine grandchildren in the family.
The former Millee Crish and Mr. Palombaro were united in marriage April 24, 1954, at St. Anthony Church, where they are members.
Mr. Palombaro served from 1951-53 in the Korean War, and retired in 1973 after being employed at McKenzie Muffler and Metal Carbides in Youngstown. He is a Fourth Ward Precinct committee chairman and a golfer in area leagues.
His wife, a homemaker, is a member of golf leagues at Pine Lakes and Mill Creek courses.
