LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements



LORDSTOWN -- General Motors was awarded the Conservation Fund National Watershed Award for environmental education work by employees at the GM Lordstown Complex and 44 other GM facilities. The award is presented yearly by the Global Rivers Environmental Education Network, a nonprofit environmental education program providing nationwide volunteer and financial support for watershed education efforts.
The Lordstown Complex has been an active participant in the GM-GREEN program. Engineers serving as volunteer mentors have helped 600 area students perform chemical and biological tests on the Mahoning River and worked with the Mahoning River Consortium Project to monitor river tributaries. The complex also provides funding for school field trips and equipment.
CHAMPION -- Photographer James Williams, who owns Williams Photography in Champion, earned the degree of Accolade of Photographic Mastery from the Society of Photographic Excellence and Achievement. Williams is one of 150 photographers worldwide to earn the degree and one of eight in Ohio. The society is a branch of the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International based in Santa Monica, Calif.
LAKE MILTON -- Mark Stevens, Kelly Cozadd and William Scott, all agents at Weichert, Realtors - Vayner & amp; Associates received sales achievement awards from Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. for production in 2003. The Lake Milton real estate office is a franchise of the New Jersey-based Weichert.
