FUND-RAISER Annual High Tea is set for May 1, 2



Patrons will be treated to free tours of Strock Stone House.
AUSTINTOWN -- Austintown Historical Society has scheduled its 10th annual High Tea for May 1 and 2 at the Strock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave., as a fund-raiser to benefit the national historic landmark.
The public is invited to attend the event which will feature coffees and a variety of teas, finger sandwiches, scones, pastries and extras that are served during traditional high tea events.
The facility has been decorated for the occasion with lace tablecloths, floral centerpieces and unique arrangements of antique teapots and cups and saucers from around the world.
Basket raffles will be held each day and tickets will be $1 each, five for $3, or 15 for $5. The winner need not be present at the time of the drawing.
Free tours of the house will be available after each of the seatings that have been planned for noon, 2 and 4 p.m. both days. Admission to each seating is $10.
