Ek-Sharkey troth is announced, wedding planned

XROCKLAND, Mass. -- Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ek of Rockland are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Ek, and Stephen Sharkey, both of Chicago.
Parents of the future groom are the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Sharkey, 843 Westport Drive, Boardman.
The couple will be united in marriage June 12 at the East Bridgewater Covenant Church in East Bridgewater, Mass. A reception will be held afterward in the church fellowship hall.
Miss Ek holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from North Park University in Chicago. She is the director of social services and activities at The Covenant Home of Chicago.
Mr. Sharkey graduated from North Park with a bachelor's degree in written English and is the worship pastor at New Community Covenant Church in Chicago. In September, he will be pursuing a master's of divinity degree at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago.
